Iconic Film Moments
Here’s an idea for compelling content that might be interesting….and could take off virally.
I met with Grace-Mary, who is a composer. We were discussing the opening two notes of Jaws, one of the most iconic openings in film ever. I asked her how she would have opened it. I’m not saying she should challenge the music of Jaws, which changed the way people went to the beach for more than a decade, BUT if she wanted to take iconic film moments and write her own background music and then post it on her Instagram account - it could be gold.
If you are an actor, do a quick video of a moment in film that everyone knows and do it differently, with your own twist. Or do it several ways.
If you are a cinematographer, put up a video of something on film and do a voice over of what they did - and perhaps what you might have done.
Director? Do the same.
Writer, go ahead, write a scene for Clarice Starling and Hannibal Lector and knock it out of the park.
Be bold. Be fearless. Believe you could have done it - not better necessarily - but differently. And, talk about it.
You can talk about your favorite scene. Or, what scene in film made you do what you are doing. Tell the story of how you got here and seal with the deal with your creative intelligence and humor, or drama, or whatever you bring to the table.
