Industry Update
This Week’s Main Topic
This month is Women’s History month. Personally I hate these kinds of months. Every month should be women in history, but … you can still take advantage.
A few sites to see if there is content relevant to your specialty to upload and add your personal commentary. (NEVER just post someone else’s POV; always add something that will show people what you bring to the table.

Food for Thought
Never has the film industry been more poised for women to take a stronger leadership role in where the industry will go. Pick the leaders already at the top of your pinnacle … if you are a director, pick out three female directors and read about their trajectory. Mirror your own plan after theirs. Or not. Follow them. Post about why you admire them.
For me, it’s those stepping out from in front of the camera and going behind the camera. What I’d like to hear from them is why they are doing it. Were they stifled from putting in the performance they felt would make the film better?
Post about what you are learning on this journey toward success. It will make you likeable.
This Week’s To Do List
Make sure you are putting your April plan together. If you need help, bring it up at our open session on Wednesday. Look forward to seeing you all there!
I’ve been asked to address #Hashtags on Wednesday night. Anything else? Email me (CMerser@BlueShoe.net) if you have a topic you’d like on the table. Don’t want to wait for me? This is a great site for hashtag help.
Want to podcast with me? Get your name out? Email me a topic. We are putting the program together for next month now.
